This is book one of four of the War of Gods Series. I have read other books by this author and was excited when I came across this on Amazon as a free read that was a full 200+ pages.
This book honestly had a little bit of everything but it never felt like to much was going on at one time. The beginning of the story is a bit of a mystery as the reader nor the main character knows what was going on. Then all of a sudden we are thrown into a world much different than what was before.
Once we discover what's waiting for Sofia the story moves from mystery to action packed. I loved it. Granted this was a story about good and evil which has been written about so many times before but the way the author goes about it is fresh and new. There are traitors in the mist and when i found out about some of them I wanted to jump through my kindle and start smashing heads. There are plot twist that made me want to cry and rejoice at the same time. Some characters have not been completely explained and left me with just enough curiosity.There are characters that are written in to provide comfort, humor and some good old fashion common sense. I loved that the story line had purpose that can carry a series. Plus there is a nice love story in between the lines that enhances the story but not over power it.
I give this book 5 stars. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a purpose driven series that has important female leads and no nonsense male leads.
