This is the final book of the Dark Protectors Series. The series follows the lives of the Royal Vampire Family named Kayrs. In the beginning of the series we meet young Janet Isabella also know as Janie who is adopted into the royal family when her mom marries one of the kings brothers. Each of the brothers have a book of their own and the author also adds mini books for some supporting characters. From the beginning Janie has been special. She is prophesied to be great even though we had yet to know what it was that she would do. Each one of the books in the series have had puzzle pieces to her story which included two possible love interest. It was great that the author saved her story for the end.
What I loved about this book was that it tired everything together perfectly. I never felt like the story was just thrown together so that the author could be done with the series. Janie's book is just as important if not the most important book in the series. I felt like I had actually watched her grow up before my eyes and in a way I guess I did. This book is action packed. We are in the middle of an on going war between the vampires, the demons and the Kurjan. I love a good fight and this book delivered. The Janie/Zane/Kalin triangle is so interesting to read. We find out the secrets that have been hidden from us and yes the surprises are good. This book kept me guessing until the very end. The character development was amazing. Not one of the characters was one dimensional. Aside from the fight scenes Marked stayed true to the series by having a awe worthy romance that included some steamy scenes. The twist and turns in the plot are amazing and I even loved the new characters that were introduced. Lastly the wrap up of the other family members put my mind at ease.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a series that has everything. Please keep in mind that this is not a series that can be started halfway through and needs to be read from the start in order to understand what is going on. There is fighting, love, a purpose, laughter and a range of characters that make it so enjoyable to read.
