Until Tomorrow Comes is a book of poetry written by LaDonna Marie. It's been a while since I sat down and read a book that what just the inner thought of and it was a nice change in pace. The thing that I loved about this book is that I really felt like I was getting a glimpse at the emotions of the writer. While some poems didn't touch me others reflected things that I saw either in myself or those around me. I loved that it was written in sections and that gave me an understanding of why she was feeling what she was feeling.
I will say that some of the poems are heavier than others and that this is not the romance poems that some people think of when they thing about a book of poetry. These poems are about life, love and desires and the will to overcome. My favorite poem is Conversations With a Child. This one made me think of the conversations that I had with my brother growing up and the ones that I now have with my daughter. This poem is in the third part of the book entitled Encouragement. I also found that the Encouragement and the I've Arrived sections of the book held the most poems that caught my attention.
I gave this book 4 stars. I loved that the author was able to place emotions on paper however this wasn't true with every poem for me. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves the spoken word but also loves to read it.
